An ancient binding style that has won my heart and some awards for me. I think it is such a versitle binding style that allows for a wide variety of materials to be used. It can be as big or sank as you want and the beauty of the coptic bound book is that it opens flat because of the flexible spine. Teaching a class at the Gibsons Art Building today.
